CONDUCT CONVENTION: STRATEGY × THE D.O.C

Conduct is proud to announce the first ever Conduct Convention — a live conversation in Manchester with one of the most important writers in the history of hip hop.

On Thursday 12 February 2026, Strategy sits down with The D.O.C. for an evening focused on writing, legacy, and the realities of shaping culture from the inside.

This is not a performance.
This is a conversation.

WHO IS THE D.O.C

Emerging from Dallas and later becoming a central figure in the West Coast movement, The D.O.C played a foundational role in shaping some of the most influential records ever made.

As both a solo artist and a writer, his work helped define an era — contributing to landmark releases including Straight Outta Compton, Gangsta Gangsta, Ain’t Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang, and What’s My Name?

He was also a co-founding member of Death Row Records, the label that would go on to release music by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur and more — leaving an imprint on global music culture that still resonates today.

WHAT THE NIGHT IS ABOUT

The Conduct Convention is about craft, not headlines.

This conversation explores:

  • writing at the highest level

  • the relationship between voice, identity, and culture

  • navigating the music industry from inside its most pivotal moments

  • legacy — and what it means to build work that lasts

It’s a rare opportunity to hear the story behind the records, directly from the source.
