CAPO LEE × PA SALIEU: BEYOND THE FORMULA
North London meets Coventry as Capo Lee and Pa Salieu come together on What's Wrong?, the first single from Capo's forthcoming EP.
It's a collaboration that works on several levels, with two distinctive voices bringing their own character to a record that immediately stands out.
The production and arrangement are exceptional. Rather than relying on the usual verse-and-hook formula, the track moves through different sections, keeping things interesting throughout. There's real attention to detail in how it's been put together, giving both artists the space to do their thing.
Capo Lee and Pa Salieu complement each other perfectly, each bringing something distinctive without either having to compromise their own sound.
With an already impressive catalogue behind him, this feels like yet another step forward for Capo Lee. A real statement of a first single, and if What's Wrong? is anything to go by, there's plenty to look forward to from the forthcoming EP.
